Privacy & website analytics
Effective November 5, 2026
We use limited information about visits to our public website to understand what is useful and improve the website. We do not sell your personal information collected through this website or use these analytics for targeted advertising.
Your analytics choice
Optional Google Analytics is on by default on the public landing page, home page, four practice-area pages and published resource pages. You can turn it off using the notice or the Analytics button at the bottom of a page. You can keep using the website when analytics is off.
We remember your choice in this browser using local storage and a first-party preference cookie containing only “on” or “off.” Clearing browser data may reset that choice. The preference cookie is set for up to one year. The local-storage preference stays until changed or cleared. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals keep optional analytics off, even if a previous preference was on.
What public website analytics records
- Visits to the public pages listed above, using fixed page names and page paths.
- Referral website origins, without the referring page’s full path or query.
- Clicks on office phone and email links. A click does not establish that a call or email was completed.
- Links from resource pages to the main website or contact section, using fixed page paths and broad link-placement labels.
- Technical and usage information processed by Google Analytics, such as browser/device information, cookie identifiers and general geographic reports.
Our measurement code omits page query strings and fragments, archive search terms, message text and legal-form answers. It does not run on client-login pages, private interviews, client records or generated legal PDFs. Google signals and advertising-personalization signals are disabled in this measurement code.
Providers and storage
Google processes analytics information to provide the measurement service. Google Analytics may use cookies to distinguish visits. Read how Google processes information from websites that use its services.
Our website-hosting provider, GoDaddy, also processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. Turning optional analytics off does not stop information that is necessary to deliver a page, such as ordinary web-server requests.
Google Analytics applies the retention settings configured for the property. We keep summary reports to compare website performance over time. Turning analytics off stops future optional measurement from this browser and clears its existing first-party Google Analytics cookies; it does not automatically erase earlier reports.
